Hiring sales professionals
Sales hiring process
Phase 1: CV submission
Meeting the Job Description
We appreciate that applying for jobs is draining - but do look at job description to ensure you have the skills and experiences we're looking for.
Our teams use AI assistance to help them screen hundred of candidates. If its not immediately clear that you have the key skills and experiences we've asked for, you'll likely not be able to progress. We want you to succeed, so please help us get you there!
We appreciate life happens and 2023 was a difficult year. If you have short tenures or career gaps, let us know what has happened.
Phase 2: Video recording
Demonstrate you can communicate
We'll ask you to record a video clip. We think sales colleagues need to be able to communicate with impact in our Digital world and video clips are a powerful way of doing so.
Top tip: We are hiring for a sales role. How about pitching us our own product? Or why a customer would buy from you?
Take the time to think about what you are going to say in your video, but we suggest you do not read a script directly from your screen - this can come across as a little robotic. Why not try standing up as you deliver the clip to help you come across with more presence? PS - give your tech set up for your video some thought!

Phase 3: Video-call screen
Demonstrate you want to work here
You'll have a video screen either with our Head of People or with the hiring manager. In this screen, we'll explore your CV and your motivation for the role, we'll also ask you how you think you meet the job description.
We'll expect you to have researched our company and you should ask us as many challenging questions that you feel are required - as this is a two way process.
Phase 4: Interviews
How we interview
Interview 1: We'll have set you a concise work assignment. This will likely ask you to prepare a pitch for our product and then present it to us. You'll then have a number of questions from the Panel.
Interview 2: (depending on seniority of role): In this interview you'll likely meet a different member of the team e.g. Head of Marketing. For example, this could be to give us a richer sense of how you can help us create new leads over and above our organic (Product-Led) Growth, and your data and digital confidence.
Interview 3: A final interview - which will likely mean you are down to the final 2 or 3 candidates. Well done!
We'll also ask for you for references via Team Tailor - thanks for providing these in a timely fashion.
